Vincenzo José Cavallaro is a tax lawyer specialized in tax contentious issues. He handles complex tax litigation, involving transfer pricing, international and domestic tax matters. He provides also assistance in the context of pre-litigation settlement procedures and domestic and international tax rulings.
He advices on regulars basis Italian and international clients upon Italian and international tax issues, with particular focus to Italian taxation for non-Italian residents (corporations as well individuals), taxation of capital income and capital gains derived from financial assets, fiscal profiles of M&A transactions, fiscal profiles of debt restructurings, fiscal profiles of structured transactions, fiscal profiles of international lending transactions, attribution of profits to permanent establishments.

He attended the Italian Tax Police Academy from 1994 to 1999. He graduated in Law at “Tor Vergata” University in Rome magna cum laude, in Financial Security at Tor Vergata” University in Rome magna cum laude and in Economics at the University of Bologna magna cum laude.
From 1999 to 2002, he served as officer of the Italian financial police in Emilia Romagna, where He led complex tax investigation.
From 2003 to 2008 within the banking group Sanpaolo IMI He was in charge of providing fiscal advisory in international taxation as well as in domestic tax issues concerning the extraordinary transactions of the group.
From 2008 to 2012 he was in charge of leading the fiscal advisory unit at Crédit Agricole Luxembourg in charge of providing fiscal assistance in international taxation.
From 2013 to 2014 he was salary partner of the Italian firm Cordeiro Guerra e Associati in Milan.
Since January 2015 he is partner of Stufano Gigantino Cavallaro and associates.
He is registered with the Italian Bar Association since 2008.
He is Author of numerous publications on domestic and international tax issues and teaches on regular basis in specialized tax law masters and educational courses.
